A toddler in Utah is dead after falling from a boat and being struck by a propeller over the weekend, Utah State Parks officials said.
Walter Greer, a 3-year-old from Salt Lake City, was riding a boat with family members late Sunday afternoon when he fell from the vessel at Echo State Park.
The park is in northeastern Utah, north west of the city of Coalville.
After falling in, the child was struck by the propeller at the rear of the boat, park officials said in a press release.
The boat accident took place at the reservoir just before 4:45 p.m., according to the release.
